An intimate plunge into the melancholy of Jade and Gabriel, a flight over the remains of a gunfight, a nocturnal relaxation just before the storm, a pursuit between a Shelby and a Harley, and a dizzying vertigo in the middle of a helicopter flight. Between film noir, B-movie and action film music, auteur film and contemporary western, genres collide in L'autre Laurens. Granular analog synthesizers, melancholy pianos, pan flute counterpoints and wrenching electric guitars take turns taking the lead in this journey of contrasts, with unlikely appearances by Johann Sebastian Bach, Rodolphe Burger and Los Kjarkas. All wonderfully arranged and composed by Thomas Turine.

Gabriel Laurens is a private detective. When his niece, Jade, asks him to investigate her father’s death, the detective must confronts the ghosts of his past. Gabriel finds himself caught up in a strange investigation mixing pretense, fantasy, and drug trafficking.
